After almost a century of transformation, Ferry Point, once a bustling pier, has become a tranquil community in the Yau Tsim Mong District. According to “The District Study for Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok” published last year by the Urban Renewal Authority, Ferry Point is now slated for an upcoming urban renewal plan. Before stepping into a path fraught with uncertainties, how might we build a more resilient community in light of the changes in the future?

“Once a Point a Ferry Point – Community Story Co-Creation Hub” is a three-month community co-creation journey dedicated to fostering stronger neighbourhood bonds, preserving cherished community memories, and envisioning the future of Ferry Point with local community members.

We’re now looking for co-curators to embark on this co-creation journey. Join us as we delve into the hidden stories in the neighbourhood, harnessing our creativity to translate the stories into dynamic forms for sharing with kai-fong and ignite discussions on the future path of the community.

PROGRAMME CONTENT:

  • Community Exploration: Explore the local Ferry Point community, interact with neighbours, and collect their unique life stories.
  • Story Co-Creation: Organise the gathered stories and creatively represent them as a recollection of the community's history and personal memories.
  • Community Story Showcase: Present creative works, inspired by community stories, to neighbours and the wider public as a means to foster and uphold community ties.
