Regional Collaboration to Advocate Inclusive Employment
Inclusion and diversity is on everyone’s lips in nowadays’ corporate world. A diverse and inclusive workplace brings greater productivity, innovation and well-being to the employees. Promoting and supporting diversity in the workplace is an important part of good management. However, although 90% of the interviewed companies claim to prioritize diversity, only 4% consider disability in their initiatives, according to a report from the Return On Disability Group (https://www.rod-group.com/). Obviously, more collective effort has to be put in in advocating inclusive employment.
This session will highlight the practices and challenges of employment enablement for persons with disabilities across the region including Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong.
