The school workshop “Intergenerational Yoga Experience Workshop” was held on 29 February 2024 at Rhenish Church Pang Hok Ko Memorial College and hosted by a social enterprise called “Silver Yoga Lab”. The workshop aimed to provide a platform to bridge the generation gap and connect two generations together to promote a sense of unity within the community.

Students and seniors participated in the workshop and engaged in various yoga activities. Participants were divided into small groups, each consisting of both students and elderly individuals, fostering an environment for intergenerational interaction.

In addition to the yoga practice, the workshop included interactive games and discussions aimed at promoting dialogue and exchange between the generations. Through these activities, participants had the opportunity to share their thoughts, stories, and wisdom, bridging the gap between different age groups and fostering a sense of community cohesion.

The atmosphere was filled with positivity and enthusiasm as the students and seniors supported and encouraged each other throughout the activities. The intergenerational pairs formed strong bonds, fostering mutual understanding, respect, and appreciation for one another's unique perspectives and life experiences. It served as a reminder that by embracing diversity and actively engaging in activities that promote understanding and empathy, we can create a more inclusive and harmonious society for all.

The event was co-organized with Fullness Social Enterprises Society (FSES) and sponsored by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, HKSAR.
