Mark CHENG

Mark Cheng is the European Managing Director of Ashoka, the global network of the world's leading social entrepreneurs. Since 1980, Ashoka has elected more than 3,500 social entrepreneurs around the world into its prestigious Fellowship, providing them with stipends and support to help them scale up their ideas. Mark is himself an experienced social investor who has helped raise capital for more than 60 social enterprises over the past decade. He is the author of the 'Social Investment Toolkit', a guide for social entrepreneurs in how to raise finance. Marks sits on the board of Emerge Education, Europe's largest accelerator for education technology start-ups, and is a founding member of the UK's first social angel investor network. He is a frequent writer and speaker on social enterprise and finance, and has been published in many journals including the Guardian, Forbes, Fast Company and the Stanford Social Innovation Review.
