Asia Lead, Social Innovation Exchange (SIX)

Mr Marco Shek is the Asia Lead at Social Innovation Exchange (SIX) - an international body for social innovation. He leads SIX's Asia’s work on building people and organisation's innovation skills and capacities in social innovation and on promoting system changes.

He has rich experience in working with young people and prompting social innovation locally, regionally and internationally. He led the communication and network coordination work for several European Commission social innovation projects, including Social Innovation Community (SIC), SIKE, and SCALINGS. Asia-wise, he partnered with 5% Design Action to promote cross-city participatory social design. Prior to that, he was the key driver of the Good Seed programme - a local social innovation and entrepreneur development programme under SIE Fund.

He is passionate about Education and Art/Culture and is working with Ednovators to catalyse education innovation in Hong Kong. He serves on the Board of Beyond Vision International (BVI) in promoting worldwide accessible and inclusive art and culture for the visually-impaired.

Currently, he is pursuing Master of Public Administration (MPA) at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore on Li Ka Shing Foundation Scholarship.
