Haidi XIE

Before engaging in barrier-free tourism, Haidi Xie has worked to help resolving social issues in China for 10 years, involving the disabled, left-behind children, workers and homeless people. She has also promoted the participation of different stakeholders in government, businesses and NGOs in community reform.

She believes that barrier-free tourism is an important channel in promoting accessibility legislation and public awareness on barrier-free design because society will only become more inclusive when the built environment is usable by everyone regardless of their ability.
