Head of Impact Strategy, Social Ventures Hong Kong

Ms Florence Cheng is the Executive Director of the Institute of Community Making, while concurrently heading up Impact Strategy at Social Ventures Hong Kong (SVhk) and COSMOS, its impact consultancy arm.

Over the past five years she has spearheaded "Community Making" as a software-first area development model that combines social innovation, neighbourhood collaboration, and community empowerment, and led multiple related activation projects across Hong Kong, including Sheung Wan and Sham Shui Po. She developed impact strategies for more than ten businesses and SPOs, and is responsible for driving cross-sector platforms including the “Community Resilience Fund” and “Business with Purpose”.

Florence also serves as a member of the SIE Fund Task Force. She graduated from the London School of Economics and previously worked as a management consultant prior to dedicating her time to social impact.
