Edgar TUNG

Managing Director, Head of Global Operations, Esquel Group, HK

Mr Edgar Tung is the Managing Director, Head of Global Operations at Esquel Group, one of the world's leading apparel companies employing over 40,000 people worldwide and producing over 100 million cotton shirts every year. Edgar has over 20 years of general management experience. He started his career as an administrative officer of the Hong Kong Government, then switching to investment banking and internet start-ups. Prior to Esquel, he took up top management positions in different industries, including apparel technology service, quality assurance as well as food and beverage retailing.

He is the founding Chairman of the Youth Arch Foundation, and a fellow of Aspen China Fellowship program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

A native mainland Chinese grown up in Hong Kong, he graduated from the Imperial College, London with a Bachelor of Engineering (Computing) degree and obtained his MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
