Founder and CEO, Shifted

Ms Ankie Ng is the founder and CEO of Shifted, Hong Kong’s first social finance intermediary focusing on Social Impact Bond (SIB) development. Previously, she worked with the Social Investment & Finance Team at the Cabinet Office of the UK Government to develop policy recommendations to grow a UK social pension fund. She has also worked with the SIB Fund at Bridges Fund Management, a private equity focusing exclusively on sustainable and impact investments in the UK. At Bridges, she helped develop an innovative financial model to assess the long-term value to government of service providers funded through the SIB model under the Fair Chance Fund, a UK Government social outcomes fund.

She previously managed Investor Relations for SOW Asia Foundation, an intermediary of the SIE Fund of the Hong Kong Government scaling early-stage social enterprises. She has an investment banking background as an Equity Research Analyst and was ranked by Bloomberg as the top analyst for Hong Kong and China Utilities. She has extensive experience in IPOs for Utilities and Consumer companies.

She completed her Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford as a Kwok Scholar. She was also a recipient of the Oxford & Cambridge Society of Hong Kong scholarship grant. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Relations and Economics from the University of Toronto.
