SE Bazaar

Theme: School Bazaar and Community Economy

SE Bazaar gathers over 25 stalls operated by social enterprises, local craftsmen, school, NGOs and merchandisers. Themed “School Bazaar and Community Economy”, SE Bazaar utilizes idle space on campus over the weekend to reduce the operation cost for the stalls, which in turns provide hundreds of inexpensive household items and handicrafts. Some stalls also accept “community points” obtained by volunteer works to redeem products. SE Bazaar serves as an interactive platform for social enterprises, NGOs, businesses, academics and the government.

School Talk

Theme: School Bazaar and Community Economy

Social Enterprise Summit visited over 100 students from Lingnan Dr Chung Wing Kwong Memorial Secondary School in March and April to share the positive social and economic impact of turning a school hall into a social enterprise bazaar during weekends. A lot of students expressed interest in participating in the event.

The SE Lab gathered district businesses, social enterprises, NGOs, students to explore collaboration opportunities to spark new idea, maximise mutual resources, and create more ways to improve the Shum Shui Po community.

Community Tour

Sham Shui Po is one of the oldest commercial and industrial areas in Hong Kong with many time-honoured shops operated for decades. Visiting these shops and meeting their owners
who inherit the businesses, we can learn more about their old stories and current conditions of the district.
