NGO Power Luncheon: From Co-operation to Co-creation - The Bottom-up Practice of Social Innovation
‘Co-creation’is a form of innovation different from ‘co-operation’. While cross-sectoral co-operationis crucial in social services development as organizations proactively leveraging different sectoral resources and networks to provide services, ‘co-creation’ emphasizes more on stakeholders’ deep collaboration, bottom-up participation, and valuesalignment.
The theme of this year’s luncheon is about how ‘co-creation’ takes place in frontline social services. Yan Oi Tong’s ‘Youth Space’ program will share how they bring young social entrepreneurs into the community and nurture community-based social innovation ideas. Project Hap Sap will introduce how the silver-haired can participate in urban design and building assessment. Save the Children will present a successful overseas co-creation case and share its experience of localization.
