Achieving Net Zero: Unlocking Private Capital and Mobilising Resources for Success

The need to tackle climate change is more pressing than ever with extreme weather affecting every region across the globe. Close to 60 countries representing more than half of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions have made commitments to achieve carbon neutrality, or "net zero" emissions within the next few decades. While private investment plays a central role in the global response to achieving net zero targets, the transition of net zero economies requires concerted efforts from governments and civil society. This session will explore how cross-sector collaboration is vital to unlock private capital and mobilise resources to transform pledges into plans to accelerate the success of reaching net zero targets by 2050.
